Add any player to the Brewers/Packers/Bucks

danzig6767

On another forum i read, someone started a what i thought was a great

thread idea. If you could add one person to your favorite team

(disregard salary and how we would acquire him) who would it be? I posted this on the Lambeau Leap site for just the Packers team, but i thought i'd post it here also and expand it to all three local teams.

Brewers-- Felix Hernandez. A rotation of

Hernandez/Greinke/Gallardo/Marcum/Wolf would be sick and young in the top three guys. Troy Tulowitzski

would be tempting given the makeup of our team and he's still pretty young.

Packers--

I'd take Joe Thomas even though Ndamukong Suh is the best young player

i've seen in awhile. Main reason i'd take Thomas is that nothing is

more important to the Packers franchise than the health of Aaron

Rodgers and he's suffered multiple concussions already.

Bucks-- LeBron is the best player and should be the obvious choice when you look at how the Cavs have collapsed without him, but i just can't stand the guy so i'll take Blake Griffin.

Brewers-I'm gonna go with Hanley Ramirez seeing how I think short stop might be our weakest offensive spot on the team this season. Plus he's still has some youth to him.

Packers-Not really a Packer fan but I'll say Dwight Freeney to give a little bit more to that pass rush that they already have.

Bucks-I'd go out and add Dwight Howard would be perfect tandem of him and Bogut.

Good topic danzig.

I already replied at LL with Joe Thomas for the Packers.

Tough choice between Tulo, Hernandez and Jason Heyward, but impact pitching is more difficult to acquire/develop, so I'll go with Hernandez.

Wade for the Bucks. Aside from the local connection, I think he would be a perfect fit for the team as it's currently assembled.

Brewers - Buster Posey (I like Lucroy...but no denying Posey is an offensive powerhouse who can play solid D. Could take over at 1B eventually if needed)

Packers - Adrian Peterson (Rodgers and Peterson together would be an almost unstoppable offensive combination)

Bucks - LeBron James (Can't stand him, but there's no denying he's basically the best player in the NBA and would make Milwaukee instant playoff favorites)

Brewers - Evan Longoria, amazing player and an amazing contract. I'd love to have Tulowitzki but I am not comfortable with the Brewers paying him the 150 million he's due, the injuries scare me away. A middle of the order with Braun, Longoria and Fielder is scary. Plus Longoria and Braun are a great cheap offensive duo to build around.

Packers - Arian Foster or Jamal Charles. I'd probably go with Charles due to his foolish explosivness. He doesn't need 20 touches to get his yards and with the Packers his versatility would be amazing. Chris Johnson is another name that should be obvious if we are talking RBs but I am going to stay away from him already having a season of 400 touches in I am going to pass.

Bucks - I might just be doing this to be contrarian but Blake Griffin. LeBron, Kobe or Durant seem like the obvious choice but I'll pass. I don't know if the Bucks will be good enough with one of the previous mentioned big 3 to win a Championship, so I'll go with upside and roster flexibility. Griffin looks like he might be the next great PF and pairing him together with Jennings should give the Bucks one of hte better young duo's to build around.

edit - Dang I take a shower before posting and 2 posters steal Foster, Charles and Griffin...nice picks obssessed with Foster and Griffin and nice one with Charles Jrod

I meant to add above that if I were convinced that Carlos Gonzalez could stick in CF, he would be on my short list as well. Although similar to Tulo, and any player for that matter that has played for the Rockies, his home/road splits are a little concerning as well.

Brewers - Ichiro. Imagine Ichiro leading off and sliding Weeks down to the #2 spot that is a lot of OBP at the top of the batting order.

Bucks - Carmelo Anthony perfect #3 who can shoot and drive I like him better than Lebron and he is underrated defensively.

Packers - No idea not really an NFL fan anymore.

Going with the "not mentioned yet" theme I'll take:

Brewers - Josh Hamilton - need LH balance and can play CF (have to admit Mauer was the guy in mind until I saw that davego mentioned him)

Packers - D'Brickashaw Ferguson - LTs are harder to find than RBs and Rodgers' health is the key to the success of the team (I think Thomas is better but he was already mentioned)

Bucks - Amare Stoudemire - more power presence down low with Bogut plus Bogut's injury propensity, but Kevin Martin and his career .384 3-pt FG% would really help out at SG (tough choice between Stoudemire and D. Howard because of Howard's career 59% FT% vs. Stoudemire's 78% career FT%)

I changed it up a little. I'm going with name any former Brewer/Packer/Buck from the past 10 years you could add back onto today's team. The caveat is you get that player in their prime, not at the age they are now:

Brewer: CC Sabathia

-Adding a power lefty to split Greinke and Gallardo, then finish with Marcum and Wolf as 4 and 5...the Brewers might win 105 games.

Packer: Ahman Green

-Putting the 2003 version of Ahman (1,883 rushing yards) with Rodgers, Finley, Jennings, Driver, Jones and Nelson. Probably the best offense ever.

Buck: Ray Allen

-His trade was the beginning of the end for my love of the NBA. Can't stand the NBA now and barely pay attention at all.
