Brewers Concession Contest: Vote online for a new MP menu item (Reply 31: Winner announced)

All of those look so good, while thoroughly unhealthy for you other than the vegetable platter. I'd be torn between the Mac 'n Cheese Burger Burrito and the Honey Bun Burger.

Sweet merciful crap. Just looking at some of those descriptions makes me feel less healthy. However, this description is hilarious, especially the part I italicized:

7. Meat Salad - Beef brisket, hot dogs, pulled pork, pulled

chicken, gyro meat, Johnsonville bratwurst and hamburger: that's seven

meats, served to those who believe each meal should have four different

animals involved. Vegetarians, this one might not be for you.

and . . . the West Michigan White Caps don't do anything to help with the midwest stereotype of overweight people who will eat anything.

That said, some of those are just so tempting that you have to try each one once if you go to a lot of their games.

Wow, color me impressed. They get a standing O from me for extraordinary effort.

Note that I didn't see any prices for these items.

Well, it's a contest, so my guess is only one (or two, if they follow the Brewers' pattern) item will advance to the actual menu, at which point they'll price it.

This thread is making me hungry! I can't wait for the season to start.. I could eat 4 Bratwurst right now. How is the food at the ST games?

Meat Salad is at 29%, while Chicks with Sticks is at 32%. For the love of humanity, everybody here needs to go vote for that Meat Salad. Mods, you ought to create a sticky that pops up in flashing letters with explosions and fireworks to direct people to that site to vote for the Meat Salad. Now. Go.

(Not the perfect picture - too many carbs - but I felt that his presence was needed in the thread.)

At the home opener on Monday I had the Canadian Poutine. I believe the only concession stand it was available at was in section 129. I had high hopes for this item during the off-season but I ended up being very disappointed with it. The gravy didn't really add that much flavor to the french fries, and the few cheese curds that they crumbled over the top didn't really add anything either. I'd much rather get some nachos or even chesse-covered fries, especially for the $7.00 they were charging for the poutine.

I tried the kabob tonight. They only sell it outdoors (smoking area outside of section 110, right by the ramp to the upper levels). I didn't think it was nearly worth the $6.50 I paid for it, even by ballpark standards.

And this after I waited outside on Monday for it, in the cold, amongst the cigarette smoke, in the line that they have the "enter" and "exit" signs backwards on, only to find out they were out of it after I missed a full inning waiting for it. Between that and the overpricing, I don't think I'll ever buy anything from that stand again.

Tried the poutine tonight. It was absolutely terrible. Not only would I never get it again (esp. at $7), but I would actively steer people away from getting it. That's how bad it was. The gravy was so bad, I just don't even understand why they bothered putting it on the menu. Do it right, or don't do it at all. The gravy almost had a chocolatey flavor to it. Just horrible.

This makes me wish I woulda put a little more effort into my recipe. I thought for sure my grilled turkey/ham/roast beef, cheese, with french fries and cole slaw all on a preztzel roll woulda won. I wasn't smart enough to take photos of the presentation or bring samples down to the park. (pretty similar to Lucky's in Chicago but with a pretzel roll)

I thought these were simple enough for anyone to make and pretty cost effective.
