Is depth a concern?

paul253
Having a 6th SP who can put up a 4.75-5 ERA is far better than the replacement level 5.50 guys. Over the course of 162, the average team will get about 130 starts from their top 5, leaving about 30 starts for others. Rogers is a nice 6/7 SP, but his injury concerns have me wishing for at least one solid guy for depth, in addition to Rivas and the like. Washburn, or a guy like John Maine, with an opt-out of early June, would leave me feeling far better.

Cain is a can't miss as far as he isn't that bad now

That isn't how "can't miss" is used, and by the rest of his post, not how Buc meant it, either. Prince Fielder was can't miss. Ryan Braun was can't miss. Miggy Cabrera was can't miss. Lo Cain could certainly miss; there's no reason to assume he'll hit near .300. If you consider a player like Cesar Izturis a guy that didn't miss, then sure. But that's just not how the term is used.
