Where to buy cheap Noah's ark tickets + good hotel ideas?

funkx0r

Anyone know where to buy discounted tickets to Noah's ark? I'm going in about 2 weeks and don't want to pay full price at the door.

Also where is the best (for your money, about 100 a night) hotel to stay at in the Dells? We want to be close to the strip and downtown. Any help in this area would be appreciated. Thanks alot!

Not sure about hotels since I've never stayed at a hotel in the Dells.

I don't know where you live but there's a place in Oconomowoc that gives discounted tickets to Noah's Ark. Or at least they did. I'll try to find the name of the place.

I think a lot of local recreation departments also offer discounted tickets. How about AAA?

What's the current cost? On Noah's website, they offer advance tickets for just over $28.

If you know anybody who works at the Tommy Bartlet show they could get you a discount. They might also be able to put you up for the night if you don't have kids.

I blame Wang.

The Flamingo's a decent hotel. And you get free passes into the park. Once you're inside, you can buy 1/2 price tickets for the next day. I recomend that hotel for anyone looking to stay in the Dells and go to Noah's Ark for 2 days.

There is the Shamrock Motel that is literally across the street from the Noah's Ark entrance. I dont remember it being too bad of a hotel, but then again that was at least 8 years ago. Maybe someone here has stayed there since?

You can more then likely get discounted Noah's Ark tickets through your local recreation department. There is a summer discount ticket program ran by Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Association. The tickets are $26 apiece.

I was part of a larger group that stayed at the Shamrock across from Noah's Ark 3 years ago. The place is not the greatest, and that's putting it nicely. The only thing it has going for it is that it's exactly right across the street from Noah's Ark.

There are other much nicer hotels to stay at that are just as close. As mentioned earlier, the Flamingo is close as well and is a pretty decent.

I stayed at the Shamrock a couple of times...it didn't seem too bad, but like someone else said, that was a long time ago.

I don't know what time of the week you'll be there, but if possible, I recommend going on a Sunday. My wife and I went yesterday and it really was not crowded at all. There were virtually no lines at all on a lot of the rides (Black Thunder, Point of No Return especially) and manageable lines on the more popular rides like Black Anaconda and Time Warp. Plus, the Noah's Ark website has a $5 off coupon for Sundays too.
