Jays are the team for Prince

Hotdog

The Jays have plenty of young pitching talent and added several more good prospects through the draft. Don't see them giving up Romero. But lets say for Prince a starting point could be Adam Lind or Travis Snider to replace Prince's bat. A combination of Brett Cecil, Shawn Marcum, Casey Jansen, or Zach Stewart. My guess would be the Brewers adding in a prospect or so to get two pitchers in a deal with Lind or Snider. I would even take Cecil, Stewart, and Jansen for Prince. Cecil is a 4 pitch left hander with a history of being a ground ball pitcher from what I have read. Stewart is mid to high 90s young reliver. The Crew has options of Jeffries or Stewart to convert to a starter. Jansen could be the number 5 starter. So a 3 and 5 with young power relief pitcher.

Is this viable or am I nuts!!!!!!!!!

it seems like it's not so much that the other team has the type of players that we want, but more that the other team would want Prince in the first place. no reason to trade for one year of Prince unless you have serious intentions of resigning him for 2012. i don't really know, but are the Blue Jays in a position to add significant payroll?

Toronto is pitching-deep, and Overbay's a FA, so while it'd be hard to know the likelihood of Toronto's interest, they at least profile as a reasonable match.

Tampa Bay does, too, except for their reported uber-tight budget limitations. Shoot, they've got 5-7 major league starting pitchers. Garza? (just not Sonnanstine....)

The Mariners have plenty of pitching but not doing much at the major league level beyond King Felix. I'm not sure what their prospect situation looks like.

The Mets could try to assemble something and might actually be dumb enough to be lulled into a good deal for the Brewers (Ike Davis & a solid young starter -- if they have a solid starter -- or maybe something better???).

There is no way the Mets would even be interested in Fielder (due to Davis), let alone be dumb enough to send Davis+ for Prince.

But if there is... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
