I know UZR isn't something everyone loves, but UZR (which incorporates range) really likes Holliday. It has him as a plus fielder for 4 consecutive seasons. Dewan's + / - rating also likes Holliday for the same four-season stretch.

 

I haven't watched Holliday play enough, but since he's not a fast runner I'm going to assume he reads the ball well off the bat & takes good routes, basically the opposite of Corey Hart.

Man I'd love to add him. Completely unrealistic, but it's difficult to understand just why the Cardinals don't like him....or don't seem to like him anyway.

Unclassy, that's all it is. He just doesn't fit the Cardinal way of playing baseball.....you know, the right way!
