Just read there is gonna be a lottery for some players?

 

Autograph sessions will be staggered during the event, and autograph tickets-ranging from free to $25 each-will be available on the day of the event only. There will be 250 autograph coupons available for each player and coach at the event. Coupons for certain players will be available via a lottery process.

 

I probably won't be going for any big name players, but I'd kinda feel bad for those that wait in line for 5 hours, only to find out they won't get someone because they missed the lottery.

That same info has been up since the end of September. I'm still waiting for the "soon" update. I have some stuff I'd like to get Fielder on, but for the most part most of the ones I want are lower level autos.

I went to this event in 2008 and had a great time. I only waited in line for 10 minutes, but was still able to get 4 autographs before Miller Park flooded with fans for the exhibition game. Would it be appropriate to bring my nephew (age 9) to On Deck this year, or will he just be waiting in line all day for a single autograph of Garth Iorg?

I'm only going to be looking to get guys like Rogers, Jeffress and Gamel. If they are there for some reason Odorizzi or Lawire would be sweet.

They've done a good job of bringing in the top prospects each year. I'll be hoping for Jeffress and Rogers too. I do have a HR Derby ball I'd like Prince to sign, but don't know if I'll go for it. It'd be great if they brought in retired players as well. Meeting Vaughn last year was the highlight for me.

I want to know more how the lottery will work to decide what time to go at. The obvious plan is to get a lottery ticket for every player possible and go from there. I don't really need to get there at 7am to stand in line for Counsell.
