No spanish speaking coach on the staff again...

 

When you have Gomez and Escobar, two of our biggest projects and who need the most instruction, you have to hire a Spanish speaking coach, don't you?

No.......Alcides's command of English is very good. I've talked with him a few times. Besides with guys like Yo on the team you have guys that can help better translate if need be..... and many of the Coaches spend time south of the boarder with winter ball they can hold there own.

I know Gomez speaks at least some English, too. I've seen him talking at spring training this past March. I really don't think you can blame any "language barrier" for his struggles at this point.

Great guy, I'm sure. Horrible third base coach. I haven't yelled at the television at a Brewers 3B coach this much since Rich Donnelly.

Narron as Pirates Bench Coach

Almost all the way down at the bottom of the article. Hurdle wanted Narron as his bench coach in Pittsburgh but the Brewers got to him first.

Heard an interview with Peterson on MLB Network Radio yesterday. He sounded pretty disappointed, no ill will toward the Brewers, nothing but good things to say about the organization. But you could tell he thought things were improving and he had some unfinished business he wanted to take care of in 2011. I liked Peterson, seemed like a good guy and a very intelligent guy who loved his job.
