Very deserving for Gallardo especially. They mentioned on MLB network that he hit 25% of all the HRs hit by pitchers in the NL last year. Though Haren put up an OPS over .900 so wouldn't have bothered me if he had won it.

The Silver Slugger award makes so much more sense than the Gold Gloves every year. I guess it's just easier to quantify offense.

 

I'd take the NL lineup over the AL. Are we seeing a shift in superiority from the one league to the other?
