Is Preview giving anyone else trouble?

Over about the last 24 hours, only a few of my posting attempts (on brewerfan, lambeauleap and buckyville) have succeeded. After a small sample of testing, it appears that my posts appear if I do not preview them, but not if I do preview.

 

Is this my imagination?

I don't think the issue is previewing. But I had access and posting difficulty this morning. I could only stay logged in long enough to view one page in Firefox. I'm using Chrome right now.

 

Other reports indicate that some boards on Brewerfan's server (cdb1) have had trouble. And there've been reports of members getting a variety of error messages.

The preview bug has to do with Yuku's (obnoxious) new spam "feature". It'll be looked into tomorrow. From Yuku staff...

The set in the second example is NOT considered a duplicate posting, because one line has a period behind it, the other does not.

The set in the first example is a duplicate set, the lines are identical.

Yes it is. Whether you make two identical posts on the same board, or you make one post on one board and then the same post on another board, they will be condisered duplicate postings.

One minute.

You will not see an error. Your first post will be posted as usual, the second will not post.

This is a current issue that will be resolved shortly. It means that you previewed your post and did not wait 60 seconds between clicking preview and clicking post. As soon as this has been resolved, you will be able to preview your posts as usual again.

You likely previewed your post and did not wait 60 seconds between clicking preview and post. When this happens, please check your post, it may not have gone through.

How am I supposed to deal with this? I post the same message in 6 people's mailboxes in the group and I'm so fast, I just copy and paste and I usually do it in less than a minute[/b].

You can still do this and you can still do it fast. Just make sure to make each post slightly different (e.g. add a period to one post, add 2 periods to another, etc..

It will not affect your grid games at all.

I've just had exactly the same issue occur. Oddly, board administrators and moderators are supposed to be exempt from the (obnoxious) spam control. I'll have to report that.

 

By the way, if we were given a choice, we'd turn off the (obnoxious) spam control entirely. Brewerfan has had exactly one spammer make it to the posting stage in the three years we've been on Yuku, and that was due to an administrative brain fart on our part.
