Your personal five no-trade teams

GAME05

a poster here mentioned Hart's limited no-trade clause with his new contract, which got me thinking: if you just signed with the Brewers and got a five-team no trade option, which five teams would you pick and why?

i'll go:

ChicagoNL--seemingly nasty clubhouse atmosphere and the whole "i'd be a Cub" thing.

Baltimore--owner will have them committed to losing forever, and i don't want to play for a loser. i think Pittsburgh will win a division crown before Baltimore will.

Philadelphia--seemingly the least forgiving and meanest fans in baseball. i wouldn't enjoy getting boo'ed by my own fans during an inevitable slump.

Tampa Bay--no fans, terrible stadium and destined to move to a new city in the future.

Phoenix--everything about it seems great, but i'm not sure i'd enjoy spending my summer in what is probably the hottest baseball city.

For me it would come down to cities for the most part.

Los Angeles Dodgers: I don't want to live in Southern California.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: I don't want to live in Southern California.

San Diego Padres: I don't want to live in Southern California.

Florida Marlins: I don't want to live in Miami.

Atlanta Braves: I don't want to live in Atlanta.

Both New York teams-- I would hate every minute of my life being scrutinized by the media.

Pittsburgh--they would probably trade me for prospects anyways

Tampa--No fan support, and an owner who is not in it for the long-haul

Florida--No fan support, hate humidity in the summer

Pittsburgh Pirates - No thanks.

Washington Nationals - Riiiiight.

Kansas City Royals - Just having to commute to/from KCI would make me not want to be traded to Kansas City.

Cleveland Indians - Meh.

Florida Marlins - Insert comment about humidity here.

"When a piano falls on Yadier Molina get back to me, four letter." - Me, upon reading a ESPN update referencing the 'injury-plagued Cardinals'

Arizona Diamondbacks: not a fan of Phoenix, this team, or the reality that people can't really be outdoors during the day in summer because of the heat.

Houston Astros: don't want to be in Houston, Texas

Texas Rangers: don't want to be in Arlington, Texas

Washington Nationals: not a baseball town

Chicago White Sox: I have long standing dislike for this organization. If in Chicago I'd rather play at Wrigley even though I hate the Cubs as much as any other Brewer fan.

Teams I would most want to play for would be the Brewers, Red Sox, Giants, A's, or Mariners. Unfortunately I don't think I'm about to be drafted :/

Houston - - one of the worst cities in America

Cubs- - fans are jerks, stadium is a dump and there always seems to be infighting on the team

Cleveland - - never been there but it just seems like Milwaukee v2.0 and honestly if I wasn't a Brewer Fan Milwaukee wouldn't be a destination I would want to go to.

Baltimore - - i have friends from Baltimo' and even they hate it there.

Tampa - - the city is fine but that stadium is just depressing. Nothing like going from a beautiful sunny day to inside someone's basement.

Where would I like to play

Seattle - - favorite city in America. The summer's are awesome and sure it rains in November and December but their annual rainfall is about the same as Chicago. Very nice stadium and city.

Dodgers - - historic team, nice weather, no reall pressure because if the team is good then fans are happy, if not no one really gets too worked up.

Texas - - Dallas/Arlington is a decent big city, nice weather,

San Diego - - great mid sized city, nice ball park, weather,

Boston - - a few years in the pressure cooker of expectations, history, and contending year in and out would be fun.

All of the team to play for also are not precluded from winning their division by combinations of other teams, payroll, management,

Cubs - Personal hate.

Miami - They don't seem to want to win.

Baltimore and Toronto - too hard to win in that division

Royals - Too far away from winning.

Pittsburgh

Toronto

Baltimore

Kansas City

Cubs

I've always been very competitive and the first four teams seem like hopeless causes to be in the playoffs anytime soon. Cubs are the only baseball team i hate and don't want to ever see them win it all, just like the Vikings in football.

Like yoshii, I would play anywhere that would pay me millions to play a game. I hate the no trade clause. Just play the game hard where ever you end up and stop whining.

User in-game thread post in 1st inning of 3rd game of the 2022 season: "This team stinks"
