Badgers bounce back in a big way, win Sunday 6-0.

Early games make it look like this team will be aggressive and score a lot. Defense could be an issue.....penalty kill struggled on Friday, bounced back well Sunday.....

Craig Smith, who was kicked out early Friday, had two goals today. He is going to be very, very good this year.

GO Bucky!

Paid for the webcast of these games and it was broken for today's game, which was kind of frustrating when I saw the score. Would have been nice to see the team bounce back today.

Plan on going to the Alabama Huntsville game next Sunday and have our first Saturday night game on the 30th. I can't wait.

Badgers complete the sweep of Alabama Huntsville 5-2 on Sunday.

This team is going to be fun. Very high energy, and a ton of offensive talent. They will have some problems with Defense, where we are slower and very offensive-minded, and they take a lot of penalties - Sunday's game should have been a bigger blowout, however, Bucky was in the box a ton and were in danger of being outshot by Huntsville Sunday. (Friday, UW outshot AH by about 30)

Craig Smith is great. His only problem is that he takes the most penalties of any stud I have ever seen......when he stays on the ice he is great.

But 3-1 to start the year is not bad. Go Bucky!

trwi7 - That news made me smile! And yes, the picture from Magnuss is not very good, or is the crowd, or are the announcers. But its on TV.....thats a start!

They did score 2 in the 3rd but still, way short. Another home loss in the WCHA. Outstanding.

Game Two, Saturday Night - Badgers tie 2-2

Gotta feel a little bummed abou this one. Badgers lead 2-0 with 11mins to go in the third period, only to let two in to lose the win. Gudmanson was in goal for the second night in a row (Eaves playing a hunch that Goodie would respond after his loss from the night before) and was solid for 50 mins. Too bad we needed him for 60! Very curious that Brett Bennett was not in the net.....he had been playing very well and has looked great this year.

Tough one to swallow....for sure. Michigan Tech next weekend, and holy cow, they are undefeated this year (3-0-2). But we are at home and should dominate.

Still like this team a lot. Lots of scoring, lots of action. I stick with my claim that they are going to struggle with the penalties, but on any given night, they are going to score a bunch.
