average runs in each inning

Crash2303
Is there a stat that breaks down how many average runs we give up in each inning? and then compare it to the league average. It seems like the Brewers give up a lot of their runs in the 5th and 6th innings. particularly when guys on the back end of the rotation are pitching. If this is true, it might give further support to the tactic of piggy-backing. top of the rotation starters can go deep, but it seems guys like Parra, Narveson, and Bush have trouble cycling through the hitters the third time through. This usually happens around the 6th inning. since they are suited to pitch well through 4 innings or so, i agree it makes sense for guys like this to tandem pitch, which should also relieve stress on the bullpen.

Baseball Reference has runs allowed by inning, but I'm not sure if you can easily compare them league-wide.

The worst innings grouping for the 2010 Brewers is innings 4-6, but that's a little misleading since the 5th is their 3rd best inning while the 6th and 4th are their worst and 3rd worst respectively.

It might be better to identify the pitchers you feel are "back end starters" and look their career splits by inning.

(Fun fact: Dave Bush has a career 1st inning ERA of 7.00)

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people
