I am hoping for an 8 RBI day for McGehee so we can see Gamel get a few starts.

He has 7 LOB so far, so close enough. Kind of.

It is comical to think of a player getting left IN the lineup because of a slump. I think I read somewhere Kenneth is trying to get McGehee to 100 RBI before Gamel gets a start.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I was definitely happy to see a win today. The S.O. and I half-expected lots of no-shows due to the NFL, but the crowd didn't seem to reflect that. As on Friday, the front half of our loge section was (too) well represented by visitor fans - maybe they heard the phrase "diamond box" and thought that would be cool - but thankfully our half was rooting for the home team, and the attitude that visiting cub fans have displayed in recent years was much diminished, at least in the infield loge seats.

I didn't realize until I reviewed my photos from the Friday and Sunday games that the rookie pitchers (or, as Cory Provus likes to say, the "new chuckers") were dutifully sporting their girly backpacks:

Edit: I forgot to mention that I totally smack talked Casey into hitting that solo shot in the 8th today. I reminded him how the Cubs had kicked him to the curb after the 2008 season, and wouldn't he like to remind them of what they missed out on? Apparently he did. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
