2010-08-07 Astros (Myers) at Brewers (Wolf), 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 5-2]

I got free Diamond Box games for this game (the Brewers want to butter me up before they ask for payment towards next year). Here are some pictures we took.

What's up with the Reno like shorts on this coach?

This is the delivery the creates save 597.

This is the kind of win that can get a lot of momentum going. I've been saying all along (though not here, rather human people) that the best chance of the Brewers' turning things around is if Hoffman earns his job back. It's one of those unquantifiable things that sometimes has an effect on everyone else on the club...maybe it's just that they stop thinking about their own problems and think "let's win one for Trevor". Maybe that's reading into it too much, but I like to believe it. Either way the team is just better when he's closing games successfully. Plus, imagine the options for Macha should Hoffman stay in the 9th. I know Hawkins hasn't been himself, but Axford, Braddock, Loe, Coffey, Hawkins is mid to late innings?

Not that it's possible that they get back into contention but it'd be nice to get into some positive trends heading into 2011.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game tonight but I'm glad Hoffman got another save. I am a huge Axford fan but with little to get excited about this season it would be nice to follow the chase for 600. Hopefully we get to hear Hells Bells a few more times.

"human people"...that hurts, man. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I think there's something to your Trevor observation, though. His early-season struggles certainly contributed (I'd say a lot) to the Brewers' woes this year.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
