I think Cain could possibly step right in and bat leadoff. Not saying he will, but might. He has much better plate discipline then Gomez or Escobar. He should carry a good OBP and be able to bat at the top. And with Fielder and maybe Hart both gone it would be nice to be able to move Rickie into the 3 hole.

 

I think Gamel would most likely bat 5th or 6th, although I would not be opposed to him batting 2nd.
