Thus begins day one of the long haul to the offseason; with no deadline-trades (which I'm strongly ambiguous about, strangely), and the season in relative tatters, it's probably time to start hoping for the off-season.

Nonetheless, now that the non-waiver deadline is past, I can stop hoping against false-hope and just go back to rooting for strong, strong performances from every Brewer and a win every time, which is nice.

Dear Rock, when you hang a curveball right at the belt and someone deposits it in left field, that is not bad luck. That's bad pitching. Thanks.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GET RID OF CARLOS GOMEZ!!!!!!! I'm sorry, I just can't stand watching him anymore. Neither can TH.

Carlos Gomez takes a called third strike. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. Not calling up Lorenzo Cain and putting him in center, considering this team is going nowhere, makes no sense to me. I think we know by know why the Mets and Twins gave up on Gomez. It's time to move on and let Cain get his feet wet as the centerfielder of the future.
