Snyder is still owed over $8 million through next season, and has a 2012 club option for $6.75M. Another big deal off the books for the D'Backs.

Are they moving Doumit to another position?

Doumit's currently on the DL thanks to a concussion he suffered in a collision with Rickie Weeks, but even before he got hurt it seems like the Pirates were souring on him quickly. He's probably the worst defensive catcher in the league, and one of the few (only?) players left from the pre-Huntington era. He's due $5.1 million next year, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved in the offseason.

Odd trade for the Dbacks. Unless the only goal is to save money. I assume Carrasco is under contract for next year at a reasonable price.

Finances, as well as the economy, are really bad in Arizona. Coyotes are in bankruptcy court I believe. Arizona is doing whatever they can to shed payroll.
