Parra is going to plug Heyward in the back tomorrow. That's just the passive-aggressive way baseball is these days. Previously Loe would have buried one in the ear-hole of the first guy he faced this inning.

I'd just as soon have Manny not plunk anyone. I don't trust him enough mentally to be doing anything other than just trying to pitch the best game he can. Frankly, that's proved to be enough of a challenge for that guy. Win the game, win the series, get out of town and make a push here the hrest of the month.

I'm with you, while Parra throws hard and would be a good option to bean someone. I would rather Manny focus on throwing strikes and pitching well. Giving him the duty of beaning someone might throw him off. He just seems to fragile mentally.

Sure, just not early with Manny, and not at al unless the game is in the bag.

I remember a few years back Yost getting caught up in all that mess, in a late-season series Atlanta, and basically helping to throw away the season.

If anyone cares, the Atlanta TV crew couldn't figure out why Fielder deserved to get drilled, either. They replayed his double from last night and his homer from tonight to see if there was anything that he did that might have gotten under the skin of the Braves, but they rightfully couldn't see anything.

I think Braddock would be the Brewers' best in a fist fight, throw him out there.

I would agree after reading this. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Zach Braddock doesn't know for sure if he is related to "Cinderella Man," James J. Braddock, one of the most unlikely champions in the history of heavyweight boxing.

"I would love that to be true," said Braddock, whose exploration of the family tree as a teenager was inconclusive. "I heard from a distant relative that there's something to it."

Hopefully tomorrow, the Brewers can build a nice cushion so they can retaliate. What are the odds that Heyward sits again? His thumb would be a nice target, albeit a moving one. I guess I'd settle for a Parra fastball in the small of his back.

Yessss, someone caught that. Haha.

As ridiculous as the beanballs have been the past couple nights, Angel Hernandez did a really good job of making sure that situation didn't get a lot worse, putting his arm around Prince and walking him down to first.

I was listening on the radio at the time, but how is it that Sedar and Hernandez were the ones to go out and protect Prince and not Macha? From the radio call it sounded like he came out eventually, but seriously, he needs to be out there in that instance at least. That's just embarrassing.

No, it really isn't. It's not like Prince was on the verge of charging. IMO, Hernandez was probably apologizing for getting the Braves all hot and bothered about the strike zone and they decided to take it out on Prince's head. I don't know what the manager is "supposed" to do there, because the umps took care of things pretty quickly.

This team needs a goon. Gretzky had McSorely. Prince needs Branyan.
Branyan's too useful to possibly miss playing time.

We need a 5th OF specifically for this kind of thing. Someone who can jump in and start a brawl, if needed.

I didn't see it, so it's hard to gauge, but according to Provus, Prince was livid and Sedar sprinted down the line to help talk to Prince. If Hernandez and Sedar knew they should get in Prince's ear, the manager should know that as well.

It was completely unnecessary for Macha to go out there. Fielder was pissed and making a bit of a tough guy pose, but he wasn't about to run out there. The home plate ump got to Prince within seconds and put his arm around him to diffuse any potential situation. Really, that was all that was needed. That would be silly for Macha to come running out to join Sedar and the ump when nothing was happening in the first place.
