2010-07-11 Pirates (Lincoln) at Brewers (Wolf), 1:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 6-5]

playing the odds that this is just fake Corey Hart(see beard) and that the real Corey Hart will appear after the all-star break where he will lead the team at swing and misses at pitches down the middle of the plate. Seriously though, he is to flakey in order to make him worth the 7-8 mil a year he is going to ask for.

Atta boy Corey. Nice way to end your Brewer Career.

http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I think they'll at least wait and let him come out of the All-Star break as a Brewer.

Now I wouldn't bet against this being his last home game in Milwaukee, considering the 8-game road trip after the break...

Oh man, could you imagine him being traded tonight... and being in a different uniform for the HR derby tomorrow?

Did they make a big deal in the post game show about how Axford's only wins have come in the last ab fashion, because as a closer that's really saying something.
Remember what Yoda said:

He would still play the All Star game as a Brewer, since he was voted in as one. I think that has happened before where a player was traded just before but still wore his old teams uniform.

I was thinking about this in the case of Cliff Lee who is an All Star and was just traded to the Rangers. I wonder if he'll have the M's jersey on? Kind of weird

I agree--Trade Fielder, sign Hart to a long-term deal.
Not going to lie...I could go for that. Yes, I'm thinking like a fan, but I think I should be able to do that at times. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The loudest I've ever screamed for a home run in Miller Park was when Russell Branyan took Joe Nathan deep to tie the game in the 9th in 2008. The second loudest was today for Corey. That was satisfying, despite my knowing (and thinking during his home run trot) that many of you were glad more for his confounded trade value than for the results of the game.

I thought Randy had his mechanics tweaked for the better these last two starts - but today's results certainly don't bear that out. Even our normally upbeat usher was gesturing at his season BB total on the ribbon board and sounding frustrated.

Today's game doesn't really change the course, but I like winning better than losing; and in May would scarcely have thought the Brewers would even approach a .500 record when we attend, much less 10-9. Finally, for those of you scoring at home, we drove through not one, not two, but three torrential downpours on the way home - one of them windy to boot.

Edit: One observation I forgot about: too bad, so sad for those fans who were hoping for the Polish in today's sausage race. The Polish "little wienie" tore off in the opposite direction (toward the Pirates' dugout) while the other kids ran in the right direction. A moment for sausage race infamy.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

They were possibly heading off to exact revenge as payback for the Randall Simon wiener episode!
