I wonder what the headline in the JS will be if Parra gives up 4 runs over 6 IP...

Part of me almost wants another loss to ensure the front office gets the message that this team just isn't very good right now.

That's exactly what I want. I want this team buried in the standings so Mark and Doug can't rationalize some sort of win now move as making sense.

Of course that doesn't mean I don't want certain players to play well, just at the end of the day I want the Brewers to lose until some selling happens.

I kind of feel the same way. I never want the Brewers to lose, but the front office needs some kind of sign that this team is out of it and they need to re-tool and get ready for 2011.

I think far to many people around here lately are putting to much stock into Melvin saying weeks ago, that he wasn't ready to say the Brewers were sellers. They had a nice push afterwards, but are now 11 games under .500, worse than they were at the time. I'd be shocked if internally they don't know the landscape of things, but everyone keeps acting like Melvin is out there everyday saying we're not going to be sellers.

If you told me in April that Corey Hart would be batting cleanup by July 8th, I would've told you the Brewers were at least 11.5 games out of first place and 11 games under.

I'll bet that scout meeting in St. Louis was to plan evaluations with probable or possible trade partners. What they really need is a public relations message to sell "the young team of the future" or something like that.

Yep, this team sucks.

I'm not even really mad about it now. I think the worst thing that could happen to this team right now is a 4 game winning streak heading into the AS break. The best thing that could happen today is Parra loses a 1-0 pitchers duel and Hart gets on base every AB.
