Pepsi Refresh Grant: Homelessness Program

greeg35

Hopefully OK to post this here. My place of employment is going after a $50,000 grant for our Leaving Homelessness behind program. This particular program is funded 100% through private grants and donations...i.e. no government money. The program basically helps pay rent and provides good case management (if I do say so myself) for previously homeless families (only families with kids) in Brown County. We continue to pay as long as they are working on the skills they need to improve upon so they do not become homeless again (personal counseling, aoda counseling, tenant/renting skills, budgeting, anger management, time management, etc...). The money also goes toward staffing costs for the program (me : ) ), and events like workshops and retreats.

If you aren't familiar with the Pepsi Refresh Project, whichever one has the most votes in the $50,000 category at the end of the month gets the grant. Vote every day if you want to!

Thanks!

bump, see my first post for a description of our project.

Pepsi fixed a glitch for our project yesterday and we went from 350th (dead last) to 233 in a matter of 24 hours. We are currently putting some heat on them to compensate us for the lost days. Either way, vote, vote, vote, and thank you!
