Counsell in the 5 hole makes no sense. Why not just hit him 2nd for one game and move Hart to the 5 hole?

It makes sense if you think about it like this. CC in the five hole is like batting the pitcher 8th and a hitter 9th, only in this instance Braun is the pitcher and you're clogging up the bases in front of your second #3 hitter Escobar who is actually the clean-up man because Braun (the pitcher) is hitting in the early 8 hole. I, for one, like our chances.

Why not, I guess. But if Braun is the pitcher in this line-up, why is Wolf also in the line-up? Or is he playing left field?

This is quite the zim-zam.

no HD? Directv 669-1 is a blank and the guide says no game in HD until Tuesday.

Hmmmm, might have to watch Rockies feed and listen to Provus.

Yeah I have no idea what this all means.

However, Hart had the chance to drive in that run in the #2 spot so it is working so far.

Another solid start for Wolf, and it looks a lot like his start against the Angels:

vs. LAA: 7 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 15 GB, 6 FB

Today: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 10 GB, 7 FB

Nice way to rebound from that 5-HR game against the Cubs.

If we don't get a run this inning then I will completely give up on this season.
Yeah, please stick around. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Rockiesfan.net (if it existed) would surely be burning a hole in the internets at this point. Bring Manny Corpas out again!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Rickie has been incredible with RISP so far this year. .346/.478/.481 before he almost hit a granny there.

Thank you Jim Tracy for pitching Corpas for a 4th straight day after he nearly blew an 8-4 lead last night.

Somewhere, there's a Rockies fan complaining that they never seem to be able to finish sweeps of bad teams.

Good win on a getaway day that keeps the season series even. Three really good starts from the rotation this series, too, despite the fact that they were playing in such a hitter-friendly park. Hopefully the upcoming series against the Twins goes better than the last one.

Yay, a win! I was listening to the radio broadcast pretty much the entire game. Failure after failure after failure to score runs didn't come back to haunt us today. Hooray, Brewers!

Yep I'm sure there are. Of course Rockies players are probably smart enough to realize the Brewers are closer to .500 in talent and shouldn't be an easy win every time out, the fans generally are pretty clueless and buy into W/L records like they mean a lot..

I've always wondered what opinion I should have when the Brewers are four games above .500 and they fail to sweep a 12-game below .500 team at home. Now I know!
