I don't want to sound all "Debbie Downer" but this was brutal to read in many ways;

After their best road trip in nearly 50 years, the Los Angeles Angels are hoping to carry that success into their first home game in 15 days.

A matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers might help.

Before heading back on the road again, the Angels start a three-game set Monday night against the Brewers, losers in 10 of 14 on the road.

Los Angeles (36-30) has overcome a slow start by winning 15 of its last 19 and used a 4-1 finish to its previous homestand as a springboard into its season-high 14-game trek.

On paper this is a bloodbath. Guess we'll never know when the Brewers will jack three or four bombs, but its most likely to happen against Rich Harden or Zach Duke.

Angels sweep, good thing I will be sleeping for most of it.

I'm on my way to Anaheim tonight. I haven't been down there since Game 6 of the World Series in '02...now that was a memorable game. I'm there with a fellow cheesehead buddy tonight and taking my undefeated daughter on Wednesday (she's 3-0 attending Brewers games...poor kid, she has no idea). I used to get down there each year before the switch to the NL.

I got an e-mail that the UW Alums of OC will be tailgating under the "Big A" tonight starting at 5PM. We plan on dropping by. I'll be the guy in the Jerry Augustine jersey with a beer in my hand!

Glad to hear you will be representing out on the west coast for all us Brewers fans. Which Augie jersey do you have? Home white or powder blue?

Kottaras starting over Lucroy. Not cool.
He's goin' goin', back back, to Cali Cali....of course.

Another example of not enough Lucroy love: Sunday was Jonathan's birthday and the Brewers didn't put a shoutout up on the scoreboard. Cold.

Conversely, they put up a Happy Birthday Gregg Zaun several days in advance of his birthday (since it fell during a road trip).

But I digress. Come on, Brewers. Surprise us?

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Judging by the way the first couple times went, I wouldn't count on Lucroy catching Wolf again, even if Lucroy somehow becomes the starting catcher.

True, I still think it was poppycock how Wolf treated Lucroy in those starts.

Was Prince staring in to the dugout waiting for Macha to come out?
I was thinking the same thing. Kinda interesting.
+1

I still wonder if there needs to be a shoving match ala prince and Manny or Prince storming the opposing locker room to juice the club up if Macha isn't providing the motivation

Wolf... even if you're right, you're wrong... just go sit down and get ready to the pitch the next inning... 7IP would be great from you tonight.
