After watching so many baseball games in HD, the WMLW feed appears brutal. If you're not used to HD you won't notice much of a difference, but if you are it is usually a "gah!" moment.

I guess that must be it. I'm not even sure what hdtv is yet. I thought it was fake.

That happened to me when I was a freshman in high school. I ducked under a really slow and obviously very poorly located curve ball. I feel it hit the bat and turn around to see where it went and suddenly is everyone is screaming at me. Well I come to realize the damn thing went fair, right back to the pitcher, about 10 feet from the mound. I was thrown out before I got 4 steps down the line... an embarrassing and difficult lesson to learn.

Manny falls apart after 90 pitches. Last outing it was 85 pitches, so he's moving in the right direction. Next start it will be 95.

 

Has the strike zone been as tight as it looks on Gameday?

It's appeared to be very tight. I'd partially blame Manny's first inning struggles on that, because there were a few pitches that looked very good that were called balls.
