I'm not sure I get this lineup. Gomez sitting for a second straight game? Escobar sitting? Why, exactly?

Oh well. Hopefully they can at least put up a fight on national TV today. This is probably the most winnable game of the series.

Wowwww. Really weird lineup.

Corey Hart behind Edmonds, who maybe has 7/8 at-bats since coming off the DL. He should be hitting 8th today.

Escobar benched. The results haven't been there, but he's been stinging the ball this last week. Why not give Weeks a day off instead?

I'm starting a theory that Macha wants out and as such is not averse to trying weird lineups.

How is a pitcher with an ERA over 6, who got beaten up by the Cubs, even still on the Classies' roster?

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Given who is in the lineup, Kottaras batting 8th isn't a bad idea. Macha did the right thing in splitting up all the lefties in the order.
I'd much rather see Kottaras 2nd and Counsell 8th, but at this point I'm just looking for reasons to pick on Macha.

Kottaras is hitting well now but we really don't have a firm idea what to expect with him as a hitter. Counsell and Edmonds are old and declining so it is possible Kottaras is the best hitter of the three. In any case at least Macha didn't hit any of them back to back.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I'd be all for sending Lucroy back to AAA to play every day, but the problem is there doesn't seem to be another option in the minors that play as well as Lucroy in the backup catcher role. There's still the chance he catches Parra tomorrow, but I can't blame anyone for not getting their hopes up on that.

I hate this crap. We are 11 games under .500, please let the younger players play. How long will take for the Brewers brass to realize this season is a lost cause?
Remember last year? Yeah, I don't think they're going to be playing the young players any time soon.

Why do we care how much production we get out of the Backup Catcher? So we can win or 1 or 2 more games this season max? What are we competing for where 1 or 2 games is going to matter?

I turned on the game and who do I see but Joe Buck..I think I threw up a little in my mouth

At least we know he'll call the game fairly as he has no biases for either team.

All we're competing for at this point is probably a better draft pick.

Wow, Lucroy should be the starting catcher? What next.
I'm not saying Lucroy should play everyday over Kottaras. What I am saying is if he is going to be up, he should play at least twice per week. If he is up to ride the pine, that is pointless. He is your top catching prospect, play him everyday at AAA if you won't give him some type of regular playing time.

Who said that? He should be playing everyday instead of sitting on the bench.
