Disappointed in Manny Parra

rluzinski
I inquired about a 2011 Malibu 2LT and was told that it was Manny Parra's demo. They guy can't get himself into the LTZ trim or what? Maybe BR.net could take up a collection for the struggling lefty?

Everybody's talkin' at me...I can't hear a word they're sayin'...just drivin' around in Manny Parra's car...

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Sad how injuries can derail a career. Parra really hasn't looked the same as he did in the minors since his injuries.

Are you talking about injuries he had in the minors or injuries in the majors? I'm assuming his significant injury in the minors?

I don't know if it was the back injury he tried to pitch through in 2009 or the broken thumb on his pitching hand in 2007 or the various shoulder problems from 2003, 2004 and 2005. But when you can bring up 5 different years where he was hurt in a 7 year period it is hard to say that a pitchers career hasn't suffered for it..

How did this thread take a serious spin?

I think it really has to do more with the Prince Fielder fight. We all know how tender little Manny Parra is, and Prince really hurt his feelings.

Before the fight:

151.1 IP, 69 ER, 4.10 ERA

After the fight:

212 IP, 136 ER, 5.77 ERA

The only logical explanation is that Prince Fielder has caused the downfall of Manny Parra. Prince must be DFA'd for his crimes, or else his presence will prevent Manny from ever achieving success.

Is it wrong that I want to punch him before Manny gets a chance? However since the fight was Brewer related someone should find a blown up picture of tiny Marseco... not that I wish Michael any ill will, but if we're looking to give Manny a confidence boost he's the tiniest dude I can think of.

Then again, what if Manny lost? Marseco is also a scrappy, never say die, gamer type, he might win... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif

Maybe Parra can set up a fight with someone he can beat thereby boosting his confidence and reversing the numbers.
Parra vs. Suppan.....a battle royale for a roster spot. Winner stays, loser.....GOES HOME!!!! :-)
i realize this was a joke, but DANG, you might have been onto something with this one.
