(And Macha better start Hart and Gomez)
You don't think Diego would be motivated to outclass his former team? Otherwise, I'm with you in hoping for something resembling respectability.

What's classier: making your opponent look extra good, or bringing a game that could be described as "competitive"?

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

More than victories, what I want from this series is for the Brewers to carry themselves with the grace and dignity befitting Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, or for that matter, Al Hrabosky.

I think most of us don't know how to respond to how good Wolf looked the first couple of innings. People weren't kidding when they talked about how bad the Cards have looked against LHP so far this year.

So the Brewers are going to intentionally walk an .860 OPS hitter to load the bases for an .830 OPS hitter with an extra runner on base. Makes no sense, but then again, not much the Brewers have done lately has made sense.

I guess maybe Lucroy wasn't the problem...

Among the things Ken Macha Does That Drive Me Crazy, intentionally walking the bases loaded is climbing its way up the list. It worked out this time, but why wouldn't you just pitch Holliday away, away, away and hope he gets himself out? If he walks, he walks, but at least it wouldn't be intentional.

Good thing Escobar sucks so much at defense.
