how to find a new job

I'm very interested in people's responses to find the best way to do this. I have worked at my job now for the past 8 years. It started out promising and interesting, but after the first couple of years, it has been getting worse and worse, until now when i can't even stand walking in the doors. There is just no room for advancement and is terribly boring.

I have a college degree in Geography, so what keeps me from looking for a new job is really when I ask myself, "where the heck am i going to find a job with that type of degree?"

I really want to get out of that line of work, but have no idea how to do so. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

you would suprised most places could care less about what you degree is in, just that you have a degree. I would suggest you figure out what you would be interested in doing, look into those posistions and see if you need addition training before you get into it.

When i was 26 i was already 8 yrs in as a carpenter, i got sick of working outside and it wearing on my body. I decided to get into design, went back to school for CAD and now 3 yrs later am making as much money as i was before.
