I don't think there was much choice here. Estrada and Coffey probably aren't available today and Wolf only went 5. Someone has to throw the 6th and who else is there?

Braddock could go a couple innings, Villanueva and then Axford.

I thought about that, too, but then your bullpen is starting to look awfully short for tomorrow's game in Florida (don't know if Villa and Ax could go three days in a row if they're used today). The bullpen is between a rock and a hard place right now with Capuano being held off to presumably start Thursday.

So much for the dunkers, Soup is getting crushed. The crowd cheered the mound visit hoping they'd take him out. These boos are insane.

Apparently Estrada just now got up in the pen. Great idea Macha.

Now as much as I think Soup is toast if Wolf wouldn't have walked 5 guys and nibbled so much we wouldn't be in the position of having to throw Suppan. Obviously this has been said before, but the starters need to go deeper in games

Things have come full circle. Overpay one soft tosser and have him be replaced from the bullpen by another soft tosser that you overpaid and can't wait to get rid of.

If Estrada was available, why wasn't he available in the 6th? I don't like this. It might rain tomorrow in Florida, or the starter might go 8IP. I don't like the "lets not burn out our bullpen" thinking. You play for today and let tomorrow be tomorrow when tomorrow gets here.

All fans should get a refund for today's game. The Brewers are NOT playing to win by bringing in Suppan. This goes against the implied message to fans: "When you come to a game, we will do our level-best to win the game." This is a bad-faith move by the Brewers. It is ridiculous that they keep destroying fan morale with this joke of a pitcher. Shame on the Brewers for souping-on-the-fans!

I think it's high time the Brewers just cut their losses. If we truly are about winning we cannot keep putting sub par pitchers like Suppan in a close game. Why pay someone 14 mil to just pitch in mop up times and still give up runs. I personally would like to think anyone in AAA can do this work for the Brewers. How about mike Jones? He deserves a shot he can't possibly pitch any worse then Suppan.
