Interesting lineup today, to say the least. I can't say I was expecting it, but it is nice to see Macha put an emphasis on putting someone with a higher OBP in the #2 spot lately, and with Braun hitting 2nd it makes sense to move the pitcher up to the 8th spot.

I'm not expecting much against a knuckleballer today, so we'll see how it goes.

I like batting Wolf 8th and Escobar 9th against a knuckleballer. With Escobar, Weeks and Braun going 9,1,2, I hope there is lots of base stealing going on when they get on base. Let's run em wild.

I love this line-up! Give Ken credit for a bit out-of-the box thinking. I hope he can stick with Prince and Ryan in the 2-3 for a bit. Nice job, Ken!
Yeah, regardless of how it works (and you never know with this team or against a knuckleballer), it's cool that he's trying something interesting, yet sensible.

He may be getting squeezed on that inside pitch, but it's the other things I am noticing. I think he has stepped off atleast 4 times. Motioned at Lucroy to "Come on, give me a sign" atleast 5 times. Consistently shakes Lucroy off on the first pitch, only to throw a 65mph breaking pitch way off the plate outside. Just does not seem insync. That's why I'm not for pairing up rookie catchers and veteran pitchers. I know it cant always be avoided, but I would like Lucroy working with Narveson/Parra more than Wolf/Davis/etc

No worries. Corey Hart will make it all better.

EDIT: I'm obviously watching on a delayed internet stream. So, I should correct myself and say Rickie Weeks will make it all better.

I agree with these points. I think Wolf felt like he was getting squeezed though, and I think that contributed to everything. That breaker high and away could become a problem if he misses too far in with it.

Dang Hart almost got another one....that ball must look huge to him right now. Gotta think several teams will be asking about him......crazy how this guy has heated up

I have a ton of respect for Henry Blanco.....even if the only team he can hit is the Brewers.

I really dont like Jose Reyes. Guy is way too flashy for his game

Agreed. Hanley Ramirez has always come across this way. Eckstein as well, for some odd reason. That said, Gomez kind of does too. Maybe it's a latin thing.
