Hart isn't getting traded. Jim Edmonds can forget about getting more than one start per week when he comes back.
I hope you're right, as this is what I would have preferred from Opening Day. Diego is the only Brewer for whom I can't even cast a Brewer loyalty vote on the all-star ballots.

Nice piece of two-out magic in the bottom of the first there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The Mets' SP experience there was all too Brewer-esque.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

You know, I have no confidence that Parra will get a hitter if the count ends up 3-2. Wright had a great AB no doubt, but I never had the sense that Parra had a chance to record an out. 68 pitches, only 39 strikes, Manny you frustrate me to no end.

Why are we intentionally walking Jeff Francoeur? Is Macha really that stupid?
I actually get WPIX on Dish Network and was wondering what the Mets announcers were saying. Their exact words were "Does Macha not understand that Nieve is going to be pinch hit for!?" They just couldn't believe he didn't have that foresight.

Oh well, at least it worked out. Doesn't make it the right decision.

Gee Corey. You're really going to make Macha think about platooning you with Edmonds, which I'm sure he'll do anyway because it's Macha. Although, you are sure doing a good job of "writing your name in the lineup card."

This is absurd.

At this rate he might be able to fetch a pretty solid young starter in a trade, which would be a dream scenario. I love this offense and would hate to see what this team's output would be without it lately, but his value is never going to be higher.

Had to know tonight wouldn't be easy. With a win this will be the best set of results in a Sunday - Saturday week of games (5-1) for the Crew all season. Kind of amazing when you consider they were pretty darned close to losing a home series to the lowly Astros (and did so only by ending a very long blown save streak), and were one Corey Hart swing of the bat yesterday from possibly being shut out for the second time in three days.
