Who knew Bill Hall could pitch? We should have kept him...

Update: he is throwing 88-89 mph, pitching the 9th for the Red Sox. He actually looks really good doing it! 3 up, 3 down... All ground outs.

That's some serious heat. He's probably got a better shot at being an effective pitcher than hitter. I'm only half-way kidding.

Is this Yo's best start?
This year? For sure. 8 innings only 100 pitches, 5 K's and ZERO BBs. That is fantastic.

I was thinking best career start. I'm posting from my phone so I can't look it up.

He had that complete game vs the Astros last season. That may be his best, but this is awfully close. And his start vs the Mets last season even though he lost 1-0. Of course there was the 1-0 win vs the Pirates. All great starts, its tough to call.

Who's behind the plate tonight? He's been the best we've seen all year. Only one screw up tonight (wright's 3rd ab).
Box score says Jeff Nelson is the home plate ump tonight.

Hopefully Braun shows a little more patience up there than he did yesterday. Gotta make the bullpen get you out, not the other way around.
