Coming in late...do I want to know how a Gameday-described "popup to Escobar" resulted in two runs scoring? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

It was perfectly placed down the line. Escobar dove for it, but had no chance at catching it because it came off the bat of Geoff Blum.

I'd really like to know... I don't know if you meant that as an actual question or not, topper... but I do http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
It was a question, Im only on gameday...but im sure it would have worked either way.

Weeks ranged far to his left and had to throw on the run. He missed Prince by a good 3 feet. If it had been a slower runner he could have set his feet but because it was Bourn he had to hurry.

There's nothing like giving up unearned runs

This is something that has gone mainly unnoticed between the pitching and the hot and cold offense. Our defense really is terrible. There's almost no range anywhere on the field.

Is it just me, or are the popups to infielders a plenty for the Brewers today. I counted six.
Sounds like guys are trying the home run cut rather than just slapping the ball through the gaps. McGeehee has been great at just shooting the ball through the infield all year long.

So is it wrong to ask if it was really necessary to use 5 pitchers today? Assuming of course we get a different pitcher in the 9th?
