2010-05-25 Astros (Paulino) at Brewers (Wolf), 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 6-1]

My resting Weeks this past weekend, and today, on my fantasy team has done wonders for him.

what's the update on inglett? i'm assuming they don't plan on backdating a disabled list assignment . . .

Since he played today, they can only backdate it to today. I didn't know we still had a short bench with Bush pinch running and it looked like Yo was gonna pinch hit for Bush if that spot came up again last inning.

did any broadcasters offer any insight on inglett's injury?
On the radio broadcast they stated that the injury occurred when Inglett took a secondary lead and not during the slide. They also explained that Macha believes that he is still capable of hitting effectively but his mobility is still an issue, which is why Dave Bush pinch ran for him.

Wolf seems like he drank his suck juice again tonight.
I forgive you.

He settled in nicely with Lucroy after the second inning, no doubt. They needed that. And Coffey looked like he may have found something toward the end there.

First Brewers home win since April 26th.
Not to mention the first Brewers home win since Uecker announced his then-pending surgery and absence. I knew those were unlikely to be related, but still.

I couldn't keep "It's the Astros" from the back of my mind, but I was quite happy to finally see a win again (first since April 18 and the first in MP since April 11). Despite the numerous visits between catcher and pitcher, I enjoyed seeing Jonathan Lucroy in action. I won't say I hope he emulates Gregg Zaun in every single aspect of the game, but I was delighted to hear his choice of walkup song: Rush's Tom Sawyer.

On a different note, fans who have adopted the habit of turning in 10 all-star ballots for a ticket in the baseball memorabilia drawing will no doubt be appalled along with the S.O. and me, when we saw Tuesday night's "prizes": a Jeff Suppan-signed baseball, plus an Elmer Dessens jersey. What? I decided to take a night off of voting, upon learning that those were the items at stake.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
