Ok Rickie is like 0 for a million and you have first and second with no one out. Is it just me or does that situation not scream for a bunt? It would be 4-3 with a runner on second and 2 out if Rickie lays a bunt down.

In Macha's defense, it's play for the win on the road and the tie at home isn't it? Bunting Weeks is playing for the tie. The way Weeks has been hitting, he probably should have bunted on his own.

Any manager that does not bunt in that situation does not understand how to win baseball games.

Rickie's slump is getting pretty old now, it's been a month.

I knew things with Weeks were bad, I didn't know it was that bad. Yowza. I don't understand the use of Estrada today unless they figure Axford can give them multiple innings again tomorrow after Parra finishes off 5 innings.

The whole bunting and small ball thing has been analyzed to death. I don't think you'll find support for the idea outside of playing for a single run late in a game. So why would it be good baseball?

I can't remember Rickie bunting.

2 pitches, 2 outs?? Really? How about looking at a few pitches guys?

Corey does his best to make up for that impatience.

I still hate it when people think we have a prolific offense. It's really not that good. Take out those huge days against Pitt and we aren't looking so hot. I just wish we had guys who had solid OBP percentage and looked at some pitches.

If you take out the April 20th Pirates game (20 runs) and the April 26 game (17 runs), the Brewers average runs per game drops from 5.1 to 4.5 or 3rd best in the NL to 7th best in the NL. Other teams have high scoring anomalys too, so it's not really fair to subtract that out for the Brewers only, but even if you do, you can see that the Brewers offense still ranks in the top half.

So we've run through three pitchers in this inning why? This type of managing is exactly why our bullpen is fried.
