Gomez actived off the DL; Stern optioned to Nashville again

Well I for one am surprised at how much I miss having Carlos Gomez. I dont really have an opinion on Stern yet, wasnt terrible, certainly not great. I hope Gomez keeps up his 1 for 4 hitting and sacrifice bunts. We could use that.

I agree. Gomez has been one of the few bright spots this year. There are definitely signs that he could be a really good player here.

If Gomez could ever learn plate discipline he would be really good. He is great defensively and has big time power potential as he showed again tonight.

“I’m going to apologize,” Gomez said, referring to Blackburn. “It’s nothing personal. I just go so excited. Right now I feel bad because he's one of the good friends I have over there, Blackburn.

 

“I'm going to apologize because I don't want to show him up. If they're going to do something tomorrow, I'm going to take it like a man because I know I did (something) bad.”

 

 

I agree with just about everybody that garbage like that really isn't necessary, especially in a 15-0 game. However, I do respect the fact that Gomez apologized about it, and genuinely did seem to regret what he did.

 

Pujols is probably just a bit too classy to apologize for watching his homers.

One thing i never got, When a hitter hits a mammoth homerun and he watches it for a couple seconds, how come everyone says it is such a terrible thing. But when a pitcher gets a strikeout and celebrates on the mound in front of the batter how come that is alrite. Its just something i never got. If a pitcher can celebrate why cant a hitter?
