He's had 1 bad start this season........ well, 2 now but the ump is beyond terrible.

Depends on how you judge bad starts. He has had pretty ugly peripherals all season, he just got lucky to not give up as many runs as he should have so far.

Bush was squeezed on a 3-2 count and had some choice words for the ump. The ump then took his mask off and followed Bush back to the mound yelling at him after Bush had already turned his back and headed to the mound. It took Kottaras and Counsell taking the ump away and Fielder taking Bush away to separate them.

This is exactly why we need Suppan. We need a guy to sop up useless innings in blowout situations to save the rest of the staff...the opportunities are numerous. Why waste service time and arms of others in May when we're already out of it.

Fair enough, but at the end of the day - he only had one start where he gave up more than 3 runs this season. (granted, in two of those starts he didn't make it out of the 6th inning) Not bad for a back end of the rotation guy in my book.
