Mike Jones & the 2001 draft revisited- a marathon

Mike Jones was the 9th pitcher drafted out of the first 12 players in the infamous pitcher heavy 1st round of the 2001 draft. http://espn.go.com/mlb/draft/history/_/year/2001

Ahead of him were
2. Mark Prior
3. Dewon Brazelton
4. Gavin Floyd
6. Josh Karp
7. Chris Smith
8. John Van Benschoten
9. Colt Griffin
11.Kenny Baugh

Other than Gavin Floyd, I don't believe any of these guys are pitching in the major leagues and most of them are 'out of baseball.' Unlike many of the others who also suffered severe injuries, Mike Jones is still pitching and if he can remain healthy still has a chance at having a decent relief career. That, at least from an individual standpoint- could be labeled a success. It'll be interesting when it's all over to see who had the most successful career out of these pitchers.
