Dillon/Dessens Up, Linebrink to Bereavement, Weeks to AAA

Mass Haas

"Our young guys are wearing down. Our main players are getting hurt"

But at the same time we have guys like Manny and Yo and Dave Bush who are proving capable of stepping up. For a mid market team to beat the freespending ways of the Chicago Cubs it takes a total team effort. Joe Dillon - he is even going to have a major role in this race. This is what is going to make it all the more beautiful when we finally do beat the Cubs.

As far as Yost, I cant stand the guy as a manager. Bottom line though is he has us in first place. As long as we are in first place there isnt much we can say. We are stuck with him the rest of the year.

Very telling quote from Melvin on Dillon:

Even more impressive to Brewers GM Doug Melvin was Dillon's 50 walks to 34 K's. "To be disciplined amd still have power, We don't have anybody on our club like that who can go up there and work it and take close pitches."

As good as the young Brewers have been it appears Melvin wishes for better approaches.

..............walks/K's

Braun: 18/51

Estrada: 7/33

Fielder: 50/87

Hart: 28/62

Mench: 9/17

Hardy: 33/55

Hall: 24/76

Jenkins: 24/76

Miller: 10/19

Counsell: 34/33

Graffanino: 23/43

A better mix would help everyone.

According to the BF.net FAQ and what I had read in the past, I thought it was 20 days.
It's 20 days. I wonder where the 18 came from. http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

If he's in the minors less than 20/21 days, he'll accrue Major League service time, meaning his arby status wouldn't be affected.

I think the team will think in terms of being able to protect him for its playoff roster.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
