MP Gate Opening Time Question

I've looked a little bit at the brewers official site and read that the gates open 90 minutes before gametime Monday-Friday and then 120 minutes before gametime on Saturday and Sunday (for June, July, and August at least). However, I remember reading at some point that there was a special gate that opens earlier than all the others for fans wishing to watch BP - anyone know anything concrete about this?

I've never heard of that.

 

The Brewers position players begin their field work (including BP) about 4:10 for a 7pm start time. Before that however, pitchers come out for BP and to do their defensive drills, then shortly after 4 the rest of the team comes out and does their team stretching in center field before breaking up. Thats when BP begins. They hit for about an hour. Unfortunately, this means that when the gates open at 5:30, the Brewers are nearing the end of their work.

 

Every once in a while, like the last game vs the Rockies, they will mix things up and have the visitors take early BP. For the life of me I can't remember the reason given that particular day. I remember the guy telling me why, but I forgot.

 

Anyhow, I've never seen anyone in the park prior to the gates opening for BP. I have seen a few people sneak in and play the "I didn't know I can't be in here yet" card though.
