Cycle Thread

hawing

In honor of Jody Gerut hitting for the cycle Saturday, let's have a "cycle" thread, just for fun (keeping images and posts bf-appropriate, of course).

It's a hamster/gerbil wheel, but it looks like a cycle!

Jody is a native of Illinois. Here is a Planning Cycle for the University of Illinois.

A circular cycle? Crazy talk!

they didn't announce it at the game, but I turned to my buddy and said, "wait, he already had the single, homer, and triple, right? Did we just witness someone hitting for the cycle?"

They put a little 2 liner on the scoreboard about 2 plays later saying that Gerut was the 6th Brewer to ever hit for the cycle. I was right above the Brewers dugout, it was pretty cool seeing them all come up out of the dugout to acknowledge him hitting for the cycle.

I'll go with the Salmon cycle in honor of the AK.

Congrats, Jody--I've been a fan since you were a Pad and this is an awesome accomplishment.

Man, I'm ticked I didn't DVR tonight's game.

I'm mad it was in low def WMLW. I'm sure this game will be replayed and it will always look like it came from the 90's.

The poster previously known as Robin19, now @RFCoder

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

We were talking about that last night, and I was mentioning how it will be like Braun's home run in '08 against the Cubs, where the sidebars are always blurry. Maybe the AZ feed was in high def and they can use that?

Can Jody get some playing time now, please?!

The FSArizona feed is in HD. When the Brewers are in Phoenix, we're stuck with the FSAZ broadcast.

We're bummed, too, because we had planned to be in Phoenix this weekend, but neither of us felt all that great last week, and we decided not to go. Oh well, I console myself with the knowledge I've seen a Brewer cycle in person (Molitor, '91, Metrodome), but my husband hasn't--yet. Way to go, Jody!

Obscure reference.
