Strange login and PM issues

There's a Yuku bug going on that's preventing members from logging in

and causing weird

stuff to happen with PMs. Usernames are changing to

various names with a .pavel extension, and when these members attempt to

log in, they get a white page. If affected members already happen to be logged in,

their PMs go out as whomever.pavel and display the avatar associated

with these .pavel names.

 

There's been no explanation as to

why or how this happened. I think we're owed one, but we're not likely

to get one. The only thing we know is whodunit; that's because Pavel is a

staff member, and with all these profiles suddenly having random .pavel

names, his name is plastered all over the support board. Ironically,

whodunit is the only thing I don't care about.

 

This issue is

allegedly supposed to clear up by itself with time.

Based on reports at Yuku Support, this issue is still going on.

Staff has reported that this issue has been cleaned up, and affected members are corroborating that report.

I just heard privately from the owner of another board that one of her members is still affected by this problem. Also, this member's PMs and images have become inaccessible.

Just FYI, but I'm still having trouble with PMs. I don't see them in my toolbar. And I wonder if other people are having the same problem because I've PMed a couple members and they haven't gotten back to me. Of course it could be because they don't like me, but I'd like to think they're having the same issue.

Yuku has acknowledged this as a bug.

 

I seem to be experiencing a different version of this. If there's a PM in my box, the blue light tends to come on after two or three page loads. I've figured this out from seeing the the e-mail notification before coming to the board.

 

Do you have e-mail notifications turned on? That's the only suggestion I have at this point. To do that...

• Hit the account link in your navigation bar
• Hit Options in the Notifications box (top center)
• Check/uncheck what you'd like and hit the Submit button

E-mail notifications drag more than what would seem to be desirable (an hour maybe?), but it beats not knowing at all.

Even though I've received several, I haven't had any navigation bar indication of new PMs since Monday.
