What's NOT bugging you? (2007 – 2013)

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. My wife had our first child, also a girl, back in August.

Is it sad that one of the first things I did after we got home from the hospital was to register her for Packers season tickets?

You'd be negligent if you didn't.

Congratulations, NeedMoreFans. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Becoming a dad! My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl early Sunday morning. One of the first things I did was tell my daughter about going to her first Brewer game! It's a wonderful experience, and am so proud of my wife.
That's terrific. Congratulations to your whole family! And yeah, get used to thinking of yourselves as a family. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Tonight, my wife goes for her first P.I.T.C.H. League Baseball championship as she plays Game Seven of the PITCH Series.

She had a 2-games-to-1 series lead before blowing a couple of games. Then, facing elimination last night, she gave up 3 runs in the top of the 9th to trail 6-4 before hitting a walk-off three-run shot by Miguel Olivo to force the deciding game.

It does not bug me that she is this close to winning after 12 years in the league. The previous 2 times she was in the finals, she was swept fantastically.

Yes, I know this pales in comparison to a child being brought into the world but, in our house, this is big news. I'm proud of her and hope she does her best.

Well good luck to your wife. She win anything cool?

I work in sales...I demonstrate the products we offer to our potential clients after a sales rep sents up a meeting. I don't get commission, which sucks since I do most of the leg work. However, today at work, I received a big UPS package. Inside as a really nice card and a GIANT bottle of Kettel One. I"m sure I made her a bunch of money this year, but that's still pretty cool.

I wanted to crack it open and drink it, but apparently that sort of thing is frowned upon while at work.

My wife won her championship tonight. It was frustrating all night, trailing 2-0 right away in the second inning and 4-0 after four full frames. Both teams exchanged runs in the 6th and then her team made a comeback in the bottom of the eighth, scoring three times to cut the deficit to 5-3.

In the top of the 9th, Jon Rauch took the mound for her team and issued a pair of walks and a 3-run homer by Adam Dunn to put the game seemingly out of reach at 8-3.

And then, the impossible dream happened. Here's the recap of the bottom of the ninth:

-Peliz,P flied out to right (SFX)

-Hundley pinch hitting for Leach

-Hundley reached on an infield single to the catcher

-Roberts,R now playing second base

-Burnett,A now pitching

-Bautista,J now playing right field

-Ellsbury grounded a double down the first base line,

Hundley to third

-Roberts,B walked

-Hundley scored, Ellsbury to third, Roberts,B to second,

Zobrist to first on an error by the pitcher Burnett,A

-Broxton now pitching

-Braun walked, Ellsbury scored, Roberts,B to third,

Zobrist to second

-Berkman struck out (CSBBC)

-Olivo lined a single to right, Roberts,B scored, Zobrist

to third, Braun to second

-Hart,C lined a single to left, Zobrist scored, Braun

scored, Olivo to second

-Feliz,P lined a double down the left field line, Olivo

scored, Hart,C to third

All three hits to end the game (Olivo, Hart, Feliz) came with 2 strikes on the batter.

I'm so proud of my wife. She never gave up. It was a magical moment. I jokingly was doing a "five-run rall-y" chant at the beginning of the inning to get her spirits up and then had to keep it going as the drama unfolded. This moment probably out-does the Todd Zeile walk-off 3-run homer off Dennis Eckersley in game seven of the 1997 finals.

i made my first successful sushi last night, avacado and crawfish (way cheaper than lobster or crab). i enjoy it in restaurants but rarely buy it because i have to go through three rolls to get remotely full and that's too expensive. turns out it's dirt cheap to make yourself.

I agree. Stupid work and it's stupid policies.

it's an old acronym from when we first started the league as kids/pre-teens. It was cool then but not anymore. Heck, I don't even really remember anymore. It was something like "People Interested in The CHampionship" or something dumb like that.

But the name has stuck for 22 years.

I have now officially lost 200 pounds, and still losing. It's been quite a ride.

That is an amazing accomplishment. Congrats to you on your new life--and best wishes in reaching your next goal!

Haha, love Jason Segel.

While we're on the fantasy topic it's my first time playing fantasy baseball this year. Currently in 7th place out of 16 teams with a 77-60-7 record and went up this week against a guy with a record of 101-34-9, best in the league. Beat him 10-6.
