What's NOT bugging you? (2007 – 2013)

International Air Shipping isn't bugging me at all.

I ordered the new Baseball Prospectus, 3 baseball history books, a DVD and a Wii game from Amazon on Monday, and it all arrived in Singapore (about 9000 miles away) today.

It wasn't SuperSaver by any means, but it arrived, was undamaged, complete, and a great surprise to get here so fast.

Yesterday was my last day at my day job, this morning I ordered tickets to all of the bobblehead games, tonight is my last shift at my night job, and Monday I start a great job. All of this comes after 7 months of unemployment and 6 months of 60-70 hour weeks just to survive and save a little bit of money for a wedding. I think it's safe to say I'm just about on cloud nine.

So I'm watching the Yankees/Pirates on MLB Network, and it's the Pirates broadcast. It's basically a three-hour commercial for Pirates season tickets packages, to the point where the announcers are reading off names of people that ordered a ticket package today and thanking them on air. It's not bugging me that the Brewers don't have to resort to that stuff anymore.

That's kind of sad. Edit: You know what it's like? A public television pledge drive.

Back to what's not bugging me: today at Woodman's we got some brats and Silver Spring Beer N Brat mustard. And a lot of people had Brewers gear on, besides us even.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

This year's season tickets have mostly player images on them (except Bernie Brewer for the Bernie bobble day, the Italian for that bobble day, etc.)

Out of our 20-packs, two tickets have Doug Davis on them. /geeking out/

None of ours has Suppan...or Parra or Bush, now that I think of it.

sure, but was the Beer N Brat mustard buy one, get one free?

what's not bugging me is for the past many many months i've been planning out a two-month-long kayaking trip for three people into the Alaskan bush, made especially challenging that none of us really know how to kayak. a few days ago i finally hit that point where i feel comfortable that the major planning is done and we're basically ready to go.

No, but two of them at Woodman's probably cost about the same as one at Chairman Bob's Mark-Up Emporium (or Pick N Save/Copps, if you prefer).

My eyesight has also improved, albeit slightly. My contact lens prescription used to be -5.0 in each eye, making my morning routine pretty simple. It didn't matter which eye I put a lens in. . .Now, my left eye has improved to -4.75.

Unfortunately, I'm now in need of bifocals, as I can't read anything with the lenses in. To read, I have to use reading glasses in addition to the contacts.

They do make bifocal contacts, but I like the daily wear lenses with a fresh pair every day, and they don't make bifocal dailies.

Sorry to litter the NOT bugging thread with something that bugs me, but wanted to add that vision can indeed "improve".

They do make bifocal contacts,
i keep thinking you could put those things in upside down or even vertically and really mess yourself up.
Bifocal Contacts are weighed/shaped differently so that the they only sit the correct way, no matter what the orientation the contact is in when you put it in your eye

"I had an eye exam today and it appears that my eyesight has improved modestly since 2008. I still need new glasses, but for a pleasant surprise reason."

It's a pleasant surprise until you realize the reason is that you're old, though more typically it doesn't happen until sometime after 50. My nearsightedness improved significantly between 56 and 59, but still is awful, and hasn't improved much since.
