school bill=$1600. bank account=$1000. it was due at midnight, so i wrote them a bad check so things could get delayed in time for me to scrounge the money. went in again this morning, there was some sort of mistake and i owed $800. got a bad check out there now, but at least i won't be dropped from school.

the rent due in two days is another matter altogether.

We got things worked out with our ticket rep to switch our fan's choice package to Opening Day Plus, with the location we wanted - top row of our terrace box section, so I can see over the people who lean forward in their seats all game and we can stand up at exciting moments without blocking anyone behind us.

Yesterday was one of the best days I've had in a long time. Had great seats in the 6th row of the student section for the Purdue beat-down. Then took a little time to rest before getting in line in the "cold" to get seats in the first row of the student section for the UNH beat-down. And after the game, went to an excellent party and spent the entire night dancing with the girl I have a big crush on. It doesn't happen often, but somedays, everything goes your way.

Family website and all, but brewcrewman17 left out the ending to the story....
"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

For the first time since June (amid renovation), I have an office at work again. It even has a back door. I am so not bugged by this!
Back door is perfect for all of those smoke breaks! (I kid)

We got home Tuesday to find new signs on our block limiting daytime parking. This is awesome because the kids at the nearby high school won't be able to park up the entire block every school day, which interferes with our trash, recycling and yard waste pickup during the school year.

I felt the need to add on to my story about how I'm having the best week I've had in years that I started above. Went on a date with the girl I was dancing with and have a big crush on on Tuesday night. It was undoubtedly the best first date I've ever had (the bar wasn't too high, but this one will be hard to beat). For those familiar with the Madison area, we went out to eat at Lucky's on Regent, and not once in the three hours we were together was there a single awkward or non-awkward pause in conversation. It was absolutely incredible. It's been a long time (since high school, in fact) that I've sent and received text messages with a girl I'm interested in without leaving the situation confused or sad. Maybe that says a lot more about my romantic life lately than it does about these particular texts, but I've never smiled so much as in the last week.

And to make it even better... I was completely unprepared for a quiz in my Latin class this afternoon, but I woke up this morning to find an e-mail from my TA announcing class and the quiz were canceled. This much good stuff cannot happen in such a short time. I'm beginning to wonder if karma is going to jump up and bite me.

I'm really liking my new Magic Mouse. It loses basically everything that was wrong with it's predecessor (the Mighty Mouse), i.e. temperamental right-clicking, the lack of a forward/back function, and the scroll ball that gets all gummed up.

I'd love it if Apple could include pinch-zooming and some kind of access to Exposé; maybe those features will come with a software update.

Also, if Apple could come up with a middle-click function, that'd be cool, too. Since the company's multi-touch trackpads don't include that either, I'm not holding my breath. (You can accomplish a middle-click by hitting the command key and left-clicking.)

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

So, that blizzard hit Madison during our next door neighbors' Hawaii vacation. They left us their snowblower (all tuned and fueled up) in case there was snowfall.

Today they stopped by with some cookies from Hawaii and a $50 gift card for a local mall, for all the snow removal we did in their absence. Wow.

I got a new laptop last week with Windows 7 and I also say that I am fairly happy with it. The only issue I have with it is some problem staying connected to my wireless router and being able to connect to the internet. Doing a little research, this seems to be a somewhat common issue with windows 7, so hopefully there is going to be a quick fix update coming from microsoft soon.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

Yeah, I haven't had any connectivity issues, but it's a hard wired connection for this PC. Of note, though, I have had zero issues with our other devices on our wireless network since getting the new PC (which serves as the "hub" for the network, as the router connects off it).

Seems like they took what was good with Vista and got rid of all the bad annoying stuff, which is nice.
