The Brewers today announced they have reached 2 million tickets sold

for the 2010 season, nearly matching last year’s pace of reaching that

milestone on April 21.

The earliest the Brewers reached 2 million tickets sold was 2001, on

April 19. That season was the first year of play in Miller Park.

“Ticket sales have been very strong, pacing very close to the record

numbers from 2008 and 2009,” said Brewers vice president for business

operations Rick Schlesinger. “Great seat locations remain for most home

games this season, but as always, we recommend fans plan ahead and

purchase their tickets in advance.”

It doesn't look like the same day, but within about a week of last year's pace. Still, not bad, considering the economy and the lack of a 2009 postseason (not to mention the on field results this last homestand).
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

There's going to be a major dip in 2011, IMO. The Brewers were decent enough last year to give some optimism, but the product on the field this year is looking very bad.

I think it is still very early to say that. Let's say the Brewers make a big trade and bring in a big name player(doubtful, but possible), any real extra talent could help keep this team around 2.8 mil or so.

I didn't purchase my typical 9-Pack this year due to financial reasons. Looks like I made the right move. The way things are going, I have no desire to make it down to catch a game or two. Brewers better show some kind of pulse or I may find myself not making a game this year.

I also did not purchase a 9-pack this season as I did in the last two years, though I have the benefit of getting tickets often from my dad, who shares season tickets with some guys. Glad I did not buy my own ticket plan though. I've already been to three games this season, and two of the three were pretty tough losses (the Stavinoha one knee homer, and the final game of the Cubs sweep).

I still think there will be a major dip this year. The best they will do is about 2.7 million this year, unless there is a major pennant push. It also does not help that many fans are emptying their pocketbooks on the Bucks.

That's true. I've always wondered how Milwaukee and the surrounding area would support both teams when they both were playing good, playoff level games year in and year out.
