I agree with you to some extent. However, I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting average baseball out of a professionial and being upset that he doesnt produce. Especially not producing for multiple years with a contract equivelant of an above average baseball player.

That's just terrible play. Escobar could have run down Lee before Fukudome even scored.

I hate that rule. If a runner is dumb enough to get picked off in that situation, a fielder shouldn't have to worry about the guy crossing home and the run counting before he tags the runner out.

I agree that Escobar probably could have gotten Lee, but a halfway decent throw to home would have gotten Fukudome out easily.

At some point hopefully Escobar will quit making ill advised throws which are the majority of his errors. Make the easy and fundamental play when it's called for Esky, that was some pretty poor baseball.

Nothing wrong with being disappointed with performance, but there is a way to do that without being a putz, especially if the disappointing performance is not related to effort or motivation. Think we're on the same page
