Can't miss live performers.

Here is another vote for Weird Al and the Eagles. I would also add Don Henley. He puts on a good show. I almost forgot about Brother. They are awesome live. Their live shows are much better than their studio albums.

And put Third Eye Blind in the category for horrible live shows.

Tool

Incubus

Chris Cornell

Those were probably 3 of the best shows Ive seen. Actually saw Incubus twice. Seeing Linkin Park in September, I know they are great live and it will be my first time seeing them. Other bands I really want to see yet; NIN, Pearl Jam, Wolfmother, Radiohead, Jimmy Eat World, a bunch more I still have to see.

If you like their music, they are way better live. I saw Korn live in '95 and they were great. I have seen them a couple times since and all I have to say is, meh.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Just caught Weird Al tonight (Wausau, WI). The guy does put on a great show.

(It didn't hurt that I grew up listening to the guy....and I didn't realize how many of his songs I forgot I knew all the words to.)

I just saw Korn a week or so ago, they sound a bit different with a different guitarist, sounded much better at Ozzfest 4-5 years back.

Green Day, especially in a smaller venue like the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, puts on a great live show. Saw them at Alliant in Madtown also.

Other great live shows:

Tool

Nonpoint (right after "Statement" came out, before everything else)

Incubus

Disturbed

Marilyn Manson (not a fan really, but he puts on a good show)

Barenaked Ladies (one of these things is not like the others; really fun group though)

Killswitch Engage

Shadows Fall

I saw Pantera on they're "Reinventing the Steel" tour. One of the better shows. They played 2 1/2 hours, and there is nothing better then "Walk" live, which is the greastest heavy metal song ever.

Sat on the side of the stage for Rage Against the Machine, the best part was that i could see the people on the floor from the same perspective that they do, man that is cool. Seeing 10,000 people jumping and moving in unison is awesome, it looked like waves in the ocean.

I can't believe that no one has said Bob Dylan yet. I saw him in Green Bay in 2001. Just thoroughly entertaining. He's the walking embodiment of music. Played for two straight hours...no break.
I saw Dylan in Oshkosh a few years ago and was very disapointed. It must be a hit or miss thing when seeing him live. All I remember of the concert was trying to figure out what song he was playing because he changed the arrangements on everything. One act that blew me away was when I saw the Who back in 2002. They totally blew the opening act of Robert Plant off the stage. It's pretty risky to go see some of these performers when they are getting into their retirement years. They tend to be a let down and ruin your perception of how great they used to be. The Black Keys always bring everytime I see them. Same with Sleater Kinney, but they are now broken up. Paul Westerberg is always an interesting show because it will either rock or he will have a meltdown on the stage. Very entertaining either way. Some of my favorite live bands that aren't that big are the Figgs, Forty-Fives & The Hanson Brothers. Superdrag is getting back together for a few reunion shows this October. I already have my tickets for Nashville & Chicago. I can't wait! How come Yuku doesn't seperate my paragraphs?

Ive heard that numerous times. One of my favorite bands, just have not had the chance to see them live yet. They are headlining Saturday night at Lollapalooza this year.
Oh man I know. I've got my tickets and I'm going. I really don't want to drive to Chicago, but I kind of doubt they'll come to Wisconsin any time soon so I have to see them now.

I just hope they play the songs I want. They usually pick awesome tunes.
