Lucroy/Salome thread

battlekow

Even more bad news.

The Angel Salome saga took another turn this week when the

catching-prospect-turned-outfielder was placed on the disabled list at

Class A Brevard County complaining of a hamstring injury. Salome missed

time earlier this season to receive treatment for emotional issues, and

last month, he informed the Brewers that he no longer felt comfortable

as a catcher

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I think he's in a bad spot, but he's had only one really crummy year. If I had a low talent rebuilding kind of team he's the kind of player I'd pick up in a heart beat if he was released. It's not like he fell apart his first time in A ball. Even Dykstra to my surprise has really shown how one can bounce back from a completely off year due to issues.

Let's name the catching prospect virus that affects our system as WHOA SOLVDD syndrome (we could name it Ross River fever after Dave Nilsson). Palmisano, Salome, and Lawrie (switching positions). And Zarraga is starting to show the symptoms. Somehow Lucroy had the antidote. Let's hope he doesn't get infected.
